For ages 9 to Adult
For the past 20 years, Barn Quilts have been popping up across the United States and Canada. Steeped in Americana tradition, this “homegrown” art form tells the stories of farms, communities and historical events while adding visual interest to rural landscapes. This workshop is a great opportunity to share in the history of Barn Quilts by creating your own 12″ X 12″ miniature quilt square for indoor or outdoor display. All materials are provided, including quilt block samplers and their meanings to inspire participants’ unique designs. Participants under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
