For Kids age 7- 11
School’s out! Come to The Dairy Barn for a clay day! This one-day class will give participants a chance to explore the fun muddiness of throwing on a potter’s wheel. Students will learn the fundamentals of centering, opening up a form, and pulling walls. From there, creativity with the plasticity of clay abounds, shapes can be altered, surface textures explored and accessories attached. The last part of the class will have participants adding colorful accents to their creations with underglaze. Finished pieces will be coated with a clear glaze and fired in the kiln to be picked up at a later date.
Tools and materials needed for this workshop are included with registration.
