About this class:

This course is designed for home school students to have an immersive ceramic art experience.  In addition to learning some basic elements of working with clay, students will also have the opportunity to express themselves through art!  This course is designed to accommodate a wide age range of students and Kelly will facilitate the adjustment of project challenges and requirements based on individual student ability.  By having a varied age group, students themselves can explore leadership roles and practice community skills.

Gnome by Kelly Lawrence

Over 8 weeks, students will create sculptural projects using pinch pot, coil, and slab building methods, as well as free form objects and objects made in relief.  Students will also learn about about the science behind ceramics!  Depending on time available, students may also have the opportunity to experiment with other art making materials.
