About this class:
This class is designed for the littlest artists in our community to get a chance to experience a variety of art media. Parents are asked to attend class with their little one and help the child follow directions, stay at their work station, leave class to use the restroom or take a quick break and most importantly, to have a positive art making experience. Even though a parent will be there, this is still a great opportunity for young children to learn about a classroom setting, where there are do’s and don’ts and a teacher to listen too. Children will explore drawing with pencils, crayons, colored pencils and pastels, painting with watercolor and tempera paint as well as make a ceramic project! Through these activities, children will practice their hand-eye coordination, learn about colors and shapes, develop visual spacial skills, and have a chance to socialize with other little ones before class.
*A full hour class can be a bit much for our littlest artists, so the class times will officially be 10:20-11:00. Participants are welcome to come a little early and let the kids romp around a bit in the AEP wing, community room, or lobby to play and get their wiggles out before settling in to the art room for class.
Please remember to bring your artist (and yourself) in clothes that can get dirty!
