#B200 Surface Design with Fabric Paints and More

$50.00$55.00

Saturday
November 16th
1:00-3:00

Instructor: Barbara Ery

An Up-cycled learning opportunity!

We are all trying to find ways to be less wasteful in our self expression and possessions, and this workshop will add some new tools to your toolbox for re-purposing and giving second life to your fabric objects.

Bring your own fabric bag, scarf, t-shirt or other fabric items and learn several different techniques for altering and designing the surface of them.  You will use waxes and fabric paints, and exploring color theory through mixing exercises.  You will mix various tints, tones, and shades and develop you understanding of complementary and analogous color schemes.  You will also get to experiment with stamping, stenciling and using wax resists.  Layer all of the techniques or use just one.  Participants will have a little show and tell at the end of the session and you will leave with new skills and objects ready to be loved anew.

*Materials should natural fabrics (cotton, canvas, muslin, or cotton blends)

This is sure to be a fun down and dirty project in one day. Come join us and make a mess.
