Internationally acclaimed National Geographic photographer, lecturer and workshop leader, Ira Block started taking pictures in high school and hasn’t stopped since. Ira can best be described as a cultural documentary photographer whose assignments have taken him to Australia, Cuba, Siberia, Myanmar, China, Japan, Mongolia, Bhutan, Nepal, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Tibet and Morocco amongst others.
He is the author of many photo books including ‘Cuba Loves Baseball: A Photographic Journey.’ His images have been exhibited at galleries in the United States, England, Japan and the United Arab Emirates.
