Entry Fee: $10-$50 sliding scale
Works may be listed as “Not for Sale”. If offered for sale, the artist receives 65%.
EXHIBITION PERIODS:
- January 23 – March 21, 2027
- May 29 – September 6, 2027
- October 2 – November 28, 2027
ELIGIBILITY
Open to all artists living in the counties of: Athens, Meigs, Vinton, Hocking, Perry, Morgan, Washington, Wood (WV).
Artists who have had solo exhibitions at the Dairy Barn within the past 2 years (January 1, 2024 through present) are not eligible to submit.
MEDIA
Mediums and materials may include collage, digital/ new media, drawing, fiber arts, film/video, installation, mixed-media, painting, photography, pottery, printmaking, sculpture, and craft.
DATE RESTRICTIONS
All entries must be completed after January 1, 2024. The recent modification of an older or previously dated work does not make the work eligible unless the artist can provide documentation of significant differences between the original and the revised versions of the piece.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Applications must include the following materials:
- Artist Statement: Submit an artist statement (up to 500 words) describing your artistic practice, influences, and the ideas that inform your work.
- Exhibition Proposal: Provide a proposal (up to 500 words) outlining the concept for your solo exhibition. Describe the body of work you intend to exhibit, how the works relate to one another, and why this exhibition is a good fit for the Chaddock + Morrow Gallery. Proposed work may be completed, in progress, or planned, but applicants should demonstrate that the exhibition can be realized within the exhibition timeline.
- Artwork Images: Submit a single PDF portfolio containing 10–15 high-quality images that represent the body of work proposed for exhibition. Dedicate one page to each artwork. Each page should include the artwork image along with the following information: title, year, medium, dimensions, and, if applicable, retail price. Arrange the portfolio in a logical sequence that best represents the concept and cohesion of your proposed exhibition.
- Curriculum Vitae or Résumé: Submit a current CV or résumé highlighting your exhibition history, education, professional experience, awards, residencies, or other relevant
