Meta Van Nostran is a retired educator. During her career, Meta has taught high school Family & Consumer Sciences, acted as curriculum supervisor for Athens County schools, and served as teacher educator/adjunct professor at Rio Grande University and Ohio University. In addition to teaching, she quilts for exhibition, competition, and works to restore historical integrity as a textile conservator. During her career she has curated and judged quilt shows in the local area, including the Southeast Ohio History Center. Currently, Meta is engaged in quilt history research and presentation with the 2021 publication of Uncoverings, the research journal of the American Quilt Study Group
