FREE COMMUNITY ART EVENT! March 8th, 5-7 PM. The Wizard Walk is a growing community arts tradition with youth at the center.
Through new programs like the Myth Makers Guild and the 2025 Witch Walk Installation Art Class, young artists spend weeks imagining, designing, and building art installations that transform ordinary places into living stories. Along the way, they develop artistic skills, creative leadership, and a sense of belonging—seeing their ideas take shape in a public space and knowing their voices matter. Timed with the Daylight Saving transition, the Wizard Walk invites our community to gather at dusk along the Ora Anderson Trail and experience illuminated art, performance, and storytelling created by young artists and community collaborators. This event grows out of the Dairy Barn Arts Center’s Witch Walk, a youth-led illuminated art trail held in the fall as daylight fades. Together, the Witch Walk and Wizard Walk form a pair of seasonal bookends—one welcoming the dark, the other welcoming the light—rooted in place, ritual, and shared creativity. At the heart of the Wizard Walk is the work of young people.
The Wizard Walk brings together community partners who value youth leadership in the arts—including Stuart’s Opera House AMP, alongside local artists, musicians, educators, and families—to celebrate young creators. Through performance, sound, movement, and interactive art, the event creates an inclusive, intergenerational gathering that highlights youth voice, supports artistic growth, and strengthens community connection in a welcoming experience for all ages.
Thanks to the generous support of Hocking Valley Bank, The Magic Martha Fund, and Snowville Creamery.
